An elegant bird with unusually long tail feathers cross like scissors, as I remember my life as a five year old. An older friend’s challenge, a “bird in the tree”, and a quick response left a trail of guilt until I freed a bird trapped on the inside of a window. The event happened as I finished the clay sculpture of the Scissortail Flycatcher from my youth. I was “Accidentally in Love” with the gentleness of this bird.
